RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) is an established marketing segmentation technique that allows you to identify your best (and worst) performing customers. Customers are assigned a 1-5 value for Recency based on their last order date, Frequency based on how many orders they have placed, and Monetary based on how much they have spent on your site in total, and then this combined score (Recency * Frequency * Monetary) is used to generate an overall RFM score of 1 - 125 for each customer.
RFM Segmentation for Magento
There's no standard Recency, Frequency, Monetary (RFM) segmentation reporting available in Magento 2 and even if you have an expensive Magento Business Intelligence reporting package, generating an RFM analysis is incredibly long-winded. But don't worry, with RFM Calc it's easy to generate RFM reporting for Magento. Simply export your order file from your Magento 2 order screen via the 'Export -> CSV' option in the top right of the screen, upload it to our systems and we'll generate the appropriate RFM reporting for your data, including automatically assigning the group boundaries for Recency, Frequency and Monetary.
RFM Segmentation for WooCommerce
If you don't have one installed already, you'll need to add a CSV export module to your WooCommerce ecommerce site. There are a wide range of CSV order export modules available, some free and some paid. You can then export your orders as a CSV file. Once you have your file, all you need to do is upload it to RFM Calc and we'll generate a full suite of RFM reporting for you based on your order data.
RFM Segmentation for Shopify
Generating a full RFM analysis for your Shopify store is easy with RFM Calc. First you need to export your orders as a CSV file; on your Shopify order screen simply click the 'Export' option top right, select 'All orders' (or a specific date range of orders) and select 'Plain CSV' as the export type. By default, Shopify will export multiple lines per order in the CSV but don't worry, you can still upload this file straight to RFM Calc and we'll automatically deal with those additional rows for you. Once uploaded, our systems can then generate a full RFM segmentation analysis as part of your Shopify ecommerce report.
